But, then again . . . . .

The Queen's Speech.

Arrived at The Lodge in time for Christmas Lunch with The Old Lady today and, from then on, it was almost a traditional family Christmas.

After lunch we watched the Queen’s speech, then we discussed the shortcomings of various members of the royal family, both living and deceased, before moving on to the “prize giving.” The blip is from the beginning of "The Queen."

We watched the film “Calamity Jane” to round off the day, I’ve purchased all the DVDs for the cinema programme until Easter and this was deemed most suitable for TOL who doesn’t see too well these days. I have the excuse that I do need to check them before they are shown: how long are they, do we need an interval, do they have subtitles and so on. On past occasions we have discovered an hour before the performance that we had received a blank DVD; that is quite embarrassing.

I'm now playing catch-up having been without the internet since Christmas Eve, so thanks to all those who used blip to wish me a happy Christmas.
