Red Kite Rising

On Friday we made the long journey south for the festive period. My parents live on the edge of the Chilterns, which is the heart of Red Kite country. Kites were reintroduced to the area in 1989, with 90 birds being introduced over 5 years. Today they estimate there are between 400 and 500 breeding pairs.

Today MrsB and I went for a wee walk around the town. We visited my old school, which I don't think I've seen since leaving at age 18. It's changed a fair bit.
