Walking at the Solway Coast

I love the light down at the Solway coast, especially on sunny midwinter days like today.

The path at the RSPB reserve at Mersehead takes you through the merse (the saltmarsh) down to the shore. There's always something thrilling about the final approach through the dunes to the half-land, half-water place beyond.
