We went to church today. The one in Wheldrake.

Christenings, weddings and funerals are the only events that get himself into these buildings, I attend more frequently, I'm on the cleaning rota so I venture in to ours once every five weeks to do my bit of hoovering.
The occasion today was the christening of our niece Rosa Elizabeth.
It was a lovely friendly service, the church was warm -there's different- and it was fab to be able to catch up with people we haven't seen for a while.
The vicar was a star, indeed quite a hoot really. Every church should have one, they might get bigger congregations if they all lightened up a little.
