Antiquing and Restorations

We went antiquing today! I found a great piece of costume jewelry (which I love!) and Doug found this little gem of a desk. Yep, we had to think about it carefully before we purchased it but we got it.

We sanded and sanded... and sanded... and sanded and sanded... So much sanding!! We're in the midsts of a full on restoration of this desk. It has lots of charm and character. I hope the sanding and staining come out great because my arms have never been so tired and worn out...

This will end up being a family heirloom by the time we're done with as much labor as it's requiring.
