Dr Who: The Vault

Another of my brilliant Christmas presents from friends this year was this wonderful book which looks back at the first 50 years of Dr Who. This charming creature is The Ood, a member of a slave race designed to serve humans. They communicate telepathically amongst themselves, but need a translator to speak to human beings which is why they carry a sphere with them at all times.
