Klaas Vaak

Day 1 of 3 in the Efteling themepark, the Netherlands.
As each year Iris wanted to go here for her birthday, and as it is even interesting for adults, we go with pleasure. As we're staying for three days, we sleep in Bosrijk, which is next to the Efteling, and is part of it too. In the evening Klaas Vaak tells a little story, and then the children can go to sleep...
Klaas Vaak is a fantasy figure, a sand wizard, who together with his sand gnomes collects special kinds of sand, which he puts in the children's eyes so they will have pleasant dreams. If you wake up in the morning, and there's something in the corner of you're eye, it's some of his sand.
