Rose-ringed Parakeet

Haven't managed a decent Blip of one of these for a while and I do like them a lot.

The madness that is Silvester is starting to build. We ventured out (I can put a jacket on - hooray) and took in the atmosphere in town. People everywhere and every pub was full. When the Germans go for it, they don't do half measures.

We headed to the Kurpark where there will be a huge fireworks display later. The Kurhaus itself is closed to the public today as they're gearing up for the big posh party that they have there every year but the park is open, provided that you don't bring in any alcohol. It was sunny and the parakeets were out in chattering force.

I wonder what they do at midnight when the world around them explodes?

Earplugs, I expect. They look smart enough to have sussed out earplugs.
