Hogmanay

Scottish tradition highly recommends a major house clean before the New Year.

I'm not in my own home, so... Next best thing is the laptop.

My son's 20th birthday today. He had the chance to come to Bavaria (like last year), but wanted to be with his friends. We'll catch up tomorrow, when he collects us at the airport.

Plan is to take Dr D and him out for dinner. Looking forward to it.

Tonight involves going to friends to eat, then fireworks & champagne at 12. Would prefer a quiet time, as the Dr is done in after 4 days on call.

It will also make her teenagers tired & grumpy tomorrow, and may lead to stress as they get left behind with Oma Gerti. They're off to spend 4 days with their dad on Thursday, which can cause stress as well.
