Departure

Came back on board yesterday in the Amoyfjord, close to the port of Stavanger. The Hermod and the Husky and Retriever were anchored out there making preparations for the voyage to Brazil. Stores and provisions for six months came on board and were stowed everywhere. Last night we started bringing in all the anchors for the Hermod and both the Husky and the Retriever connected their tow wires just after noon. The full moon came up just over the aft mast of the Husky, it looked like she pinned a balloon. The trip to Brazil will last at least five weeks. All in all we have to cover more than 5500 miles. Through cold and wintery waters to hot summer waters on the southern hemisphere.
