"Hate the Mail Man"

"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."

This phrase was a translation by Prof. George Herbert Palmer, Harvard University, from an ancient Greek work of Herodotus describing the Persian system of mounted postal carriers c. 500 B.C.E.

As far as Molly, our beagle, is concerned, this is the enemy. Hate him at all costs. He's dangerous in that he walks too close to the house... what seems like EVERYDAY!

Bark! Bark loudly, and consistently until he's out of sight ... and then don't stop watching because he'll come back the other side of the street. He's relentless, coming back again and again, in any weather.
