New Year's Eve 2013

Happy New Year to each and every one of you all round the planet, meeting up through the wonder that is blipland.

Recently we have celebrated the arrival of each new year quietly at home, but this year we decided to phone round local restaurants and see if anyone could fit us in.

Most offered nothing at all, or very early or very late times, but the Reflections restaurant at the Crescent Hotel, Scarborough had had some cancellations, and were kind enough to say that we were welcome to join the residents' celebrations afterwards, so we gladly accepted.

A relaxed meal followed by coffee in the lounge, followed by some dancing, the Chimes of midnight, Auld Lang Syne, and New Year greetings all round.

A good end to 2013 and a good start to 2014.
