Last Thoughts

Dark shadows lurk in the corners of my deserted mind.

I shake my head to get them out and they fly from side to side, enjoying the ride.

There's a demon in all of us, and that's the truth plain and simple.

They say look within and you'll find god, but god isn't alone.

The devil is within, and he loves causing mischief.

He's that dark shadow sleeping restlessly in the far right corner of your mind.

He's telling you to take a walk on the dark side.

But that light side is telling you to take a ride on that swing.

I've been on that swing a thousand times, but tonight..

Tonight I'm dancing with the devil.
