Interesting Headstone

Feeling a little tired this morning. Lovely walk for a couple of hours in the morning down to the shores of the Forth. Spotted this headstone in Cairneyhill Churchyard which caused a lot of speculation - if anyone can shed a little light on this I would be interested to hear.
