Common Darter?

We started off up the Erewash Canal today. In the guide book it looks as if it would be built up for much of the way, however "civilization" didn't show on the canal very much.

The weather was kind leading us to have lunch "al fresco" on the well deck along with a glass of wine.

During the day the fine weather encouraged this Dragonfly (which I think is a Common Darter - can anyone confirm?) to pause and rest on the oak equipment rack Chippy made to hold the plank, boat hooks etc. Unusually for me I had the camera to hand and ready so I managed to get a few quick shots this one was the best.

Back blipped into the period when I was a guest my blipping started 17.12.13
