Heather, about to start the car

I suppose this was a weird choice for a daily photo today, but of today's yield, it seemed most interesting. It was a muggy, sticky, vaguely repulsive afternoon, but everyone was feeling good nonetheless, and we had just had an impromptu pizza dinner with friends in a little shop near our house, a favorite of my son's. He'd fallen off his chair and banged his head, and after crying hard mostly from fright, he calmed down and enjoyed the rest of the meal. My daughter did her normal cute act, gazing around rapturously at all the other people. Somehow, in my warped imagination anyhow, this photo manages to convey a bit of the fleetingness of those kinds of moments. Anyhow, all in all, a good day.
