Different landscape

One of the things I love about being out and about everyday is noticing the changes in the local landscape, watching the effects of the seasons and weather.
There is also a lot of managed forest area where we are and every now and again they 'harvest' the trees which has a huge impact on the space. Today we went on one of our favourite walks up behind Pitlochry and discovered that a lot of the trees have been cut. It has that apocalyptic look which is oddly fascinating. The trees themselves were piled high to the side of the path, the way the light caught them was beautiful.
