Don't see many of those...

At the beach in Sunderland anyway! I though initially somebody was having a laugh and had placed a model Heron on the seaweed and rocks, the main reason being the bird didn't move for a long, long while! I had spotted it from some distance and began my approach, having the boys with us meant going around the larger rock pools. I had a good look around to make sure I wasn't being candid viewing for anyone and continued my stealthy approach with Archie jumping in small rock pools and Joshua singing loudly.....needless to say it took to the air and I don't possess a 500mm lens so this is what it is, magnified and cropped down!
