eating; ancestors;

I never understood the need to have turkey for winterfeast. Chicken was nice, but turkey was like a grey and slimey version of chicken which caused additional stress when being cooked, if it fitted in the oven, and was required to be eaten alongside at least three other meat products whilst trying to leave space for a large bowl of ice cream and the non-disgusting chocolates out of selection boxes. Fortunately this year there was just the one chicken , which is more than enough for the two people in the house who would be expected to eat it.

Despite it being very quiet when we got out for a wee wander in the late afternoon we still managed to get harassed by a drunk-smelling shouty man on Leith Links, who made the mistake of picking a buggy-pushing cyclist to complain about the adjustments made to the access to the old railway path, where the ill-navigable steps were replaced with a nice smooth friendly slope.
