After 17 days in two hospitals in Greece, the trip home was long, but much welcomed.

Thankfully we bought travel insurance for this trip as they proved to be a godsend. We were flown back business class with medical aid the entire way. Wheelchairs, lounges and first on last off plane entry.

They were even prepared to fly me via air ambulance, had I needed to stay horizontal for the trip. Luckily I was able to sit up and take a few steps at this point.

We used the Mayday Insurance company and they helped us every step of the way - through translations, a place for Jason to stay, and repatriation. I highly recommend them.
