Tuailicean

This is very near the spot that I have taken all my blipfotos this year. It is called Tuailicean (sounds like Tole -i- gan). It is on the shore at the bottom of the North Galson village road, and it is historically significant because it's here that the crew used to bring in the village boat in days gone by. It looks a pretty ferocious harbour-berth, and one that would need a great deal of skill in landing to avoid smashing the boat on the rocks. I guess that on days like today, with an exceptionally high tide forecast, and a bit of a wind, they would not have gone fishing in the first place. Rather them than me!

By the way, I have posted my 2013 blipfotos in an album here.
