Dentist: Are you absolutely sure you want to sit in on your daughter's wisdom teeth extraction? It can be fairly brutal – lots of pulling and yanking, and a fair bit of noise, with all that ripping and tearing to get them out. Wouldn't you prefer to sit in the waiting room?

Me (reassuringly): Don't worry, I'll be fine. I have my camera with me.
