Spey Bay

The weather forecast was dire, so we abandoned plans for hillwalking. It was damp and windy at Oyne in the morning, and we decided to go to Fochabers and walk down to the mouth of the Spey, along the Spey Way. The weather on the Moray coast was excellent; lots of sun and only windy right at the shore. The Spey is very full at the moment and the walk was really lovely. I took loads of pictures of scenery (successfully) and quite a few of active dogs (less successfully). The blip was taken almost at the mouth of the river, looking north west to Sutherland, just as the sun was going behind the clouds.

We then had afternoon tea at Baxters in Fochabers; good value and very tasty.
