Big recovery

A true champion is someone who gets up one more time after they have been knocked down. I was asked to be the official photographer for the Lovelock Classic Track and Field meeting held today. This was a fantastic opportunity and an honour. I shot 537 images in just over 3 hours. Millie really beat herself up after her 3000m and she ran exceptionally well 10:03, you cant expect to run your best time or a new PB at every race,as an open race it was tough for Millie and ran the first Km in 3:07 which is 9:17 pace way to fast. This is Rosa Flanagan on her way to setting a new NZ rerecord in the Open Women 3000m Steeple Chase. Rosa caught herself up on the water jump and stumbled and fell and made a great recovery to set a new Record and an A Standard qualifying time for the World Juniors later this year. This is one athlete in Millie's age group who Millie respects and admires.
