Still on the theme of abandoned and derelict buildings....

These portraits, presumably of former residents, caught my eye as I passed the Red Road Flats in the East End of Glasgow today. I liked the symmetry between the pictures and the towers.

The flats were built in the 60s and heralded a brave new dawn for Glasgow Corporation and the then residents. We all know what happened next!

They're currently being demolished. Two of the original eight blocks are gone. The rest are scheduled for demolition shortly.
