TEAM HUDDLE

I went to the match this afternoon. Newcastle United were playing Cardiff in the FA Cup. This is the Newcastle team huddle before kick off. The team was a weakened one today.... Krul - injured, Coloccini - injured, Cabaye - injured, Debuchy - serving a 3 match ban and Remy - on the bench till the 85th minute. Newcastle United are now OUT of the FA Cup.They were beaten by 2 goals to 1. Many supporters actually left the ground well before the final whistle they were so disgusted with Newcastle's efforts.( or should I say lack of effort ). I always stick it out till the end no matter what.

In sport, a huddle is an action of a team gathering together, usually in a tight circle, to strategise, motivate or celebrate. Commonly the leader of the huddle is the team captain and it is the captain who will try to inspire his fellow team members to achieve success. Similarly after an event a huddle may take place to congratulate one another for the teams success, or to commiserate a defeat. The term "huddle" can be used as a verb as in "huddling up".

Had another message from Neil - he's being really good with keeping in touch. He is in Byron at the moment - just a short stay there and then he is moving on to Brisbane. Since he left Sydney he is discovering new places which he didn't visit last time he was in Oz.
