The crumbling Craigmillar Castle

It's sad to think that people who built it expected it to last for a very long time as a dwelling surrounded by private land, fields and woods. And now it's a silent, crumbling ruin in a middle of a public park. And it's difficult to imagine that anyone ever lived here at all.

Then again, in 400 years it will probably still be visible, just more crumbled, after all the modern abandoned houses disappeared completely.
