My "air plant" makes me smile

Today I was feeling displaced; living in a sublet in a new place, away from all my "stuff" - which includes a substantial number of plants which have been farmed out to various locations for temporary safekeeping.

My sister-in-law, Melanie, gave me this funky little air plant for Christmas, making it the one and only plant friend I have here. The light danced on it in just such a way to elevate my mood.
