I'm stumped

I can't explain how England can go from being a decent team in the British summer to being so poor on the tour in Australia. England were outplayed in every department. Looking at the batting averages over the two series shows that the batsmen did not perform very well in Oz.

I think England need to look at their selection policy. For example how could they not take Onions on the tour. He was the leading wicket taker in the county game last year and is not a bad batsman. I suspect that personality plays a part in some of the selections.

As in all competitive sports the true test is how people cope with defeat,how they regroup and how they perform in the next game.
