Back in the box

Well, the festivities are over
Santa's back in the box
We're taking down the decorations
And my Christmas socks
Are in the wash. The living room
Looks strangely bare
And there's nothing left
But some tinsel on the chair
With the Christmas cards left over
That will come in another year.
But there's a log fire to be lit
And whisky on the shelf:
We'll warm ourselves with memories
And toast each other's health.
