Richmond Lock

A 9 miler today. Neither if us was keen to get up, but the magnificent sunrise persuaded us to move. It was frosty underfoot. I was a bit concerned that my neck wouldn't manage a long run, so we devised a 2 loop route returning near home after the first loop. Luckily my neck was OK.

The light was particularly nice on the bridge over Richmond Lock. The tide was going out, and the water was making a tremendous noise as it went under Richmond Bridge. The river is really full after all the rain, but the towpath was clear at this stage. I think it would have been flooded at high tide.
