A Christmas surprise

We decided to surprise Nat's mum and dad by going up a day early.

As usual it was a mad dash to finish work, get the car packed, tidy the house, make the chilli and get up the road.

The roads were surprisingly quite and we got up in good time. They were delighted to see us and as usual we got the warmest welcome.

It feels great to be off for two weeks, Nat and I are both looking forward to a nice relaxing break.

All there is to do now is sit back with a glass of wine and admire the in-laws Christmas tree.
