Before the dawn

I love being near the water. Even though the river is frozen, I headed out to enjoy the view as soon as I got up this morning.

The rain is gone, and the temperatures are dropping. I am watching the sky as I write this, marvelling as the pale blue tones are washed with delicate shades of pink, mauve, aqua and gold. It is not a dramatic sunrise, but it is so lovely, and I am so glad to have the time and opportunity to enjoy this view.

The sun has now reached the top of the line of hills across the river. It's time for breakfast, and there will be coffee. Enjoy the day!
