FINAL I.V. CHEMOTHERAPY!

As Alex is on the "standard risk" (or in other words, low risk) arm of treatment, his intravenous chemotherapy ends much sooner than it might have done. And today, over 5 months after treatment started, saw that day.

Soon he will be purely on oral chemotherapy, and at weekends he has to take a medicine that prevents a type of pneumonia. And that is it for just over 18 months. We are looking at an end date of 30 July 2015 (and then a 5+ year wait to see if it comes back).

He will still be prone to infections and may need hospital stays but on the whole our lives look a bit easier.
