Celebrating life

Heaven in a rage

A robin redbreast in a cage
Puts all of heaven in a rage.
But here the bars are simply twigs
His song soars among the sprigs.
His freedom he can gauge.

Thanks to 'Auguries of Innocence' by William Blake for the borrowed first two lines and apologies for the rest.

I had planned to use either gorse or eerie trees but the briefly glimpsed robin was a must. I love the network of mauvish branches around him. Shame I didn't actually catch him singing though.

This time last year I blipped a beautiful orchid I'd been given - and it's still going strong on my kitchen windowsill.
