There's Been a Murrrder!

Fans of the Scottish TV show "Taggart" will recognise that iconic phrase and it's part of what drew me to listen to a radio programme about the new MOOC from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. A MOOC is a Massive Open Online Course and is available to anyone with an internet connection and three hours a week to spare for the next six weeks.

It sounded really interesting, so I signed up and the first part of the new course on Forensic Science was yesterday. It's obviously only going to give a glimpse of the way forensic science works to help with criminal investigations, but it is set round a real-life murder which took place near Loch Lomond (adapted greatly for the purposes of this course).

I was hooked from the start and am looking forward to the next sessions each Monday for another five weeks.
