out and about

That was the cleanest work-separation last-day pre-holiday for a while. No instructions to write, nothing to hand over and I could have been out at half past five if I'd had to have been. Instead I clocked out and spent an hour listening to Michel Thomas's French for revision purposes whilst waiting for some processing to be processed.

It had even been possible to get out at lunchtime for a quick poke at the last dregs of some shops' summer-clothing sales to see if any cheap shorts were available. Surprisingly there were four types of acceptable type in a suitable size, though unsurprisingly only one pair passed the fitting-test, the rest having apparently been designed for use by people consisting of a skellington but no surmounted fleshstuffs.

What should have been a relaxing evening off was occupied with fishing things out of their various safe places, originally planned for Saturday but after checking the dates and noticing that we head out on Sunday morning and not Monday everything sped up a little.
