Second Generation Beans

Nov. 18 we planted 11 pinto beans that were the offspring of one plant from last year. By the 22, they began to break ground, and within a few days 9 of them had sprouted. On 24 Dec. the first flowers appeared (Merry Christmas!) and now their little stems are festooned with beans!
We will probably let these grow until all are dried and plant them again next year. We might even take a couple back to Alaska and see how they like the cold!
