Duck hugs....xxx

Here's Izzy with one of our six orphan ducklings. Yesterday we liberated them from the DIY orphanage and it's not a second too soon for these little fellas who can't quite believe their luck. They're still chasing mother duck when she appears , however she just wants to eat them for breakfast so they keep a wide birth.

These feisty survivors love hanging out in the long grass and take nano naps together. We're planning a reconnaissance mission to the estuary when they can fend for themselves.

I may be out of Blip coverage for a few days whilst we get away from the rain. Have found some cheap accommodation in Queenstown so hopefully can take the 'proper' camera and take a few nice shots.
