Close Up

Not feeling great today, so I spent it reading manuscripts and generally lying low. It was another gloriously sunny day, but I only ventured to the back door, where I took this shot of the black stemmed hydrangea. It doesn't seem to know that it's winter. Love the detail of the veins that the blessed macro lens has caught. (And, here, the merest trail of a strand of spider's silk.)
