Rain

The first thunderstorm for the storm season came through in the early hours of this morning. We got 7mm of rain. Listening to it last night I would have sworn there was more. Still, it is the most rain we've had in a while.

Last night's storm was followed this afternoon with another. At a glance it looks like we have has a similar amount of rain. 1mm of rain from the sky translates to 100 litres of runoff into the rainwater tank which has been empty for a while now. Easy to work out. The garage roof is 100 square metres. So by tomorrow we should have around 1400 litres in the rainwater tank. Just over a quarter full.

Sorry to bore you with the mathematics but it is exciting to be using rainwater for laundry again.

I need to get out more, don't I?
