PIRATE QUEEN

One of my students has been working on this hanging sign project for a while and it's nearly finished. Granuaile was a famous Irish pirate who harassed the British navy during the 1500's. At one stage she was invited to the court of Elizabeth 1, there is a famous woodcut showing this meeting. They died in the same year, Granuaile was 73.
