Performance Review

Or "Leistungsbeurteilung" as it gets called here. I had mine today. Got to the meeting and the Head of my Department was there as well as my Boss.

He was carrying three copies of something which I thought was ever so slightly ominous. Especially as it had the company logo on the front and my name.

And when my boss started proceedings with "This is a formal assessment..." I wanted to be anywhere else in the world but in that office.

However. Apparently Things have gone swimmingly. They're impressed with the amount of effort I've put into learning not only the job but German as well. They've had feedback from developers and projekt leaders and I come out of it rather well.

I came out of the meeting with a ridiculously outsized grin. 5 minutes later I was sitting at my desk working on a bit of analysis and I realised I wasn't working, I was just grinning. So I packed up and headed off to enjoy a little sunshine. I think I'm still grinning.
