Blue

Blue seascape.
Tide receding over rippled mud
Gulls resting in the still shallows
Watchful for food.
Wispy clouds against blue, blue sky
Barely a shadow of their stormy selves.
The sun shines.
All is quiet
But for bird cries and lapping sea.

A lovely day at last and a long wellie wade along the shore, although this photo has a surprising solemnity about it. I nearly used the lyrics from Joni Mitchell's brilliant Blue but there you go.
