TIDAL MARSH

Low tide in the Humber Estuary – and the deep mud makes some wonderful patterns.

This area, around the village of Paull, is home to thousands of birds in the winter.

A flock of over 600 Golden Plover were joined by Lapwings, Redshanks and Black-Headed Gulls. There were probably a few rarities in there as well but, for me, it was too cold to hang around for a long time.

Many thanks for all your support this week. Have a grand weekend !
