Blooming ... Like In Spring ...

It's such a beautiful view in our backyard: a blooming Helleborus niger as if spring begins next week instead of predicted frost. When you 'click' the link you can see the whole flower as an encyclopedic illustration.

I chose for a b/w version because it shows so well the complex heart of the flower. It looks both delicate and strong at the same time ... for comparing the colored version you can find here ... ;)
