More than Skin Deep

Acer Griseum, commonly known as the paperbark maple, is a lovely tree for all seasons, but especially winter when you can really appreciate the beautiful exfoliating bark. It has delicate trifoliate leaves with frosted undersides during the summer, colors nicely in the fall, but really comes into its own during the winter when you can see the peeling cinnamon color bark. Today it is raining, but when the sun shines through the “paper” it veritably glows!
