Winter Basking

A gorgeous mid-winter day in Istanbul with a crispness to the air and sparkling sun and sea. We went for a walk along the Sea of Marmara on the Asian side, clicking a number of shots of cats basking. This young lady was atop an overturned wooden boat on the shore - she wasn't going to move for anything.

So many of us were out enjoying the day, the cafes, the bike paths and the fresh air forgetting that we are in a city of 15 million.
