Over the border

The sun was shining today so we decided to head over the border, with our passports at the ready, to Lancashire! In fact Wycoller, a pretty little village with a very blippable ruin and equally blippable bridge.

However, walking down to the village from the car park I spotted this. I didn't notice the shadow of the branch across his face until seeing them on the PC, and sadly some of the better shots of it have the shadow right across his pretty little eye. However, I have learnt something today...... next time I get the chance to photograph a sitting duck robin, I will know to look out for shadows of branches.
