Potter

This woman could throw pots in her sleep, it's what she did 10 to 12 hours a day. Her husband, just out of shot, worked a treadle with his foot to keep the turntable moving smoothly.

Drinking water is taken from the River Irrawaddy and put in 5 gallon pots to settle overnight. It is then scooped into these smaller water pots. They are slightly porous and the evaporation keeps the water cool. Nothing can remove the slight "stink" of the water, which is why the Burmese are such keen tea drinkers, as this disguises the taste! And I've no idea where she got her cardigan!
